What is the District 26 Speakers Bureau? 

 The bureau consists of active Toastmasters members who hone their skills through the Toastmasters program by giving quality presentations to the general public. We are recruiting more speakers and expanding the topics to bring cultural and educational diversity to civic organizations who want to teach or entertain their members.

Will bureau members speak for free?

Can I pay a bureau member for a more extensive engagement?

Many of our bureau members are high performance professional speakers and offer fee-based presentations, workshops, and seminars as part of their business. To be a member of this bureau, each participant must agree to offer FREE services as a Toastmasters representative. If a member offers paid presentations, we have provided a link in our detail pages to their personal or company web sites. You are welcome to visit those web sites and hire a speaker as you wish; but please note that if you hire a speaker for a PAID performance, they cannot be introduced or acknowledged as a “representative” of Toastmasters and that all coordination, liabilities, and responsibilities are between you and the speaker.

Can I make a donation to Toastmasters?

Yes, donations and honorariums are welcome as a result of a bureau member’s performance and may be addressed to District 26 Toastmasters.

Do bureau members offer services other than speeches?

Many participating speakers are not only available to present their topical speeches, but also serve as master of ceremonies, keynote speakers, speech contest judges, seminar leaders, or facilitator for a variety of programs.

            

What kind of training have the speakers had?

Members of the D26 Speakers Bureau are professionals dedicated to life-long learning. In addition to their Toastmasters’ experience, many participate in seminars and workshops conducted by leaders such as Ed Tate and Joe Sabah. Our speakers are followers of Zig Ziglar, Dale Carnegie, and Franklin Covey to name a few. D26 speakers are constantly striving to sharpen their skills in able to provide a total speaking experience.
