BIO Beth is a civil engineer with the US Bureau of Reclamation. As such, she frequently has the opportunity to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. She has presented workshops for large and small audiences, including highly-rated seminars for national conventions of the Society of Women Engineers and the Federally Employed Women. Beth’s outside interests include motorcycling and playing the viola in the Lakewood Symphony.
A Toastmaster since 1982, Beth has held leadership roles at levels up to the International Board of Directors. She has won contests in serious speaking, impromptu speaking, humorous speaking, and speech evaluation. Beth is a popular and accomplished instructor in the semi-annual training sessions.

Description: Participants in this lively presentation learn the importance of maintaining a sense of humor in order to fight stress and enhance creativity. They also receive suggestions on how to develop their sense of humor.
