Kayse Loveless: My Experience With Wonder
My experience at the 2018 International Convention can be described in one word: wonder. It started with wondering how I had gotten in my position in the first place. I left for Chicago in tears. Once my boarding pass was scanned, it hit me. After a summer of endless revisions and practice, I was one flight away from competing in the semifinals for the first time. I wondered if I had done enough. I wondered if I would fail. I wondered why I didn’t bring any tissues with me.
Toastmasters International Convention Sparks Gratitude, Prompts Memories
Fellow Toastmasters, I felt privileged to carry the Swaziland flag in the opening ceremonies of the 2018 International Convention.
To give you a perspective of why I wanted to carry the Swaziland flag, let me take you back four decades to when I was a young woman traveling to a distant country in the continent of Africa, a nation called Swaziland.

The “Stay” Interview
Toastmasters are quitting or becoming inactive in droves, according to Toastmasters International World Headquarters.
The average time a member stays is 18-20 months; however, they may become inactive prior to that.
Social Media Moment from Jillian
I decided to join Toastmasters to become more aware of my shortcomings in communication, but also to feel more confident in speaking with, and in front of people in general. I was scared to death to do even that!
I am so passionate about Toastmasters because it has helped me become a more confident and skilled communicator in this fast-paced, selfie-loving, computer-centric, smaller and more digitally connected world.

Timeless Themes Make These Toastmasters Clubs Thrive
What do Liberty Toastmasters in Denver, Longmont and Grand Junction have in common?
They are all themed clubs. Like a traditional Toastmasters club, we conduct meetings using the classic structure of Toastmasters educational program. The difference is we blend the Toastmasters structure with the timeless principles of leaders in action from the Leadership Program of the Rockies.
Plan Now for a Successful Year
Managers work to fill the gaps and make a strong run to win the division, league, and the World Series. Team owners and scouts look for the best baseball players: those with stamina, talent, personality traits that fit the dynamic of the team, hitters who produce runs, and pitchers who throw blistering fast balls over the plate.
