In March, the Board of Directors decided to cancel all in-person District events through June 1. The decision
was made to ensure the safety of our members, and to adhere to restrictions implemented by local authorities
around the world. Over the past few weeks, many authorities are beginning to allow businesses to reopen, and
communities are starting to resume normal activities.

Therefore, some Districts may be planning to host in-person events in the coming months. This will be a great
opportunity for our members to reconnect in person, in areas where it is safe and permitted. However, some
members may not be as eager or feel safe attending in-person events, especially where there is a large
gathering of people.

To ensure that all members are given the same opportunity to participate in District events, the Board has
decided that all District events should be planned and organized to accommodate online attendance as part of
all in-person District events, to the extent technically feasible, through August 31, 2020. This will ensure that all
members are provided the opportunity to attend District events without feeling uncomfortable about their
safety.
