Hello District 26 Members,

The Toastmasters International Virtual Convention is quickly approaching August 24 – August 29! A breakdown of the Convention agenda may be found here.  Please note, all agenda times are in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). We have adjusted and posted key activities on our District Calendar. For all others, please keep in mind that Mountain Time is six hours earlier than GMT.

One of the most important events is the Annual Business Meeting, which will take place on August 28, 2020, 6:00am – 10:00 AM (MDT).  At the Annual Business Meeting, the world will elect one International Officer, seven International Board of Directors and vote on Proposals A and B. Clubs, your votes count!!!! Club Presidents and Club Secretaries you are part of the voting delegate and your vote matters.  For proxies to be assigned and votes to be cast, each Club President or Secretary must log in to the Toastmasters International website to specify how the club will cast its votes. Each Club President or Secretary must log in to the Toastmasters International website to specify how the club will cast its two votes. Clubs must follow one of these three steps:

1. Designate a delegate from the club to cast their club votes.
2. Designate a 2020-2021 District Director to act as their club proxy. If (and only if) the District Director is unable to perform the duty of a proxyholder, the next senior District officer will act as the club proxy.
3. Designate another active member to act as the club proxy.
